Splashing Paint 
With the high price of travel watercolor sets I came up with the idea of using an old eyeshadow box. I removed the 8 color pans and after a good washing refilled with my good watercolors from the tube. It works a treat, just need a saucer or paper plate to mix colors. Annabelle

thanks, John, for your practical and inspiring tips. It is so easy to get bogged down with excess materials. I use John Muir Laws tip of cutting the foot off of a gym sock and keeping the ribbed part slipped over my wrist for blotting the brush.

I’m doing some extended France vacation soon with painting in mind. Having read your travel tips the burnt sienna and indigo tip is of interest. Which one of your pay for video lessons would be most appropriate for this two colour plus white method?
