After the Blackall workshops we headed out through Western Queensland and up into the Northern Territory.

We found ourselves in Katherine for the annual rodeo. The town was busy, but we were able to stay at the show ground where the rodeo was held, so we got to see all the practice and preparation before the events.
Abandon swings outside the rodeo grounds
On the morning before the rodeo we were treated to an impressive hour of hard core polo practice.
Very interesting, epecially seeing that in year 2015
Lovely photos, especially the dusky colours.
So interesting for me, these photos. It is many years since I was up that way. Thank you. Enjoy your travel adventures.

Hello John & Dianne,
It sounds like you had a fantastic trip. Lots of paintings in the making I guess, and great action shots.
I hope your trip to Vietnam goes well in October, I know Kerry is looking forward to it.
Happy travels,
Gwen Campbell-Stewart

Great Rodeo photos- great to paint!
Great photos. Any one, or all, would make a painting.
Hi John & Dianne,
I can’t believe we were in Katherine on the very same days as you! We were there for the rodeo and stayed in the caravan park down the road. It was on our way back from a big trip to the NT to the Daly River Mango Farm and Litchfield NP. We arrive home tomorrow after diverting south to Yamba for a week’s r & r. Hope you had a great trip. Your photos are fantastic as usual!
Cheers
Colleen
Hi Colleen,
That’s amazing! How did we miss you? – I was the bloke not wearing a cowboy hat.
Hope you had a great trip. Hope to catch up soon.
Cheers
John
